A “Stand Alone Task” can be described as a “one off task” required for a Client. This means that this Task will not be linked with any ongoing Schedule that is currently captured on the Clients Profile, rather this will be an individual task that will have its own Schedule ID and all related Schedule information relating only this Task. Generally speaking, Stand Alone Tasks are used when we wish to create emergency or one off required visits.
You can create standalone tasks in the Client’s
Schedule via the Calendar View screen. To do this simply select the date of the
task and right click. You will then be displayed with the option: Create
Task as illustrated below:
From here the “Stand Alone Task” scheduling wizard will open and you can then capture all the required information:
Creating a Stand Alone Task for a Visit Scheduling Wizard differs from the standard Scheduling Wizard in the following ways:
§ All the data is captured on one screen
§ When you define a Start and End time for this one off task, it means that only one task is created against this – in other words, there cannot be more than one task created when using this option.
Defining Billing information, assigning Carers and defining the Funding Categories of the Stand Alone Task can also be done from this interface as you would normally do in a Client Scheduling Wizard. The only difference is that all fields are illustrated on the one screen.
Once you have created the Task it will appear in Calendar View as normal. It will also appear in the Client’s List View as a Schedule, with a unique Schedule ID as normal. The Start and End Dates will be populated, as this is only a one off Task; once the Task date has passed, the Schedule is considered Completed and therefore will not appear in List View by default; rather you will have to check the “View Completed Schedules” checkbox in List View to be able to see it.
Lastly, the Task will appear on Plan Board for its Scheduled Date as normal.
