The Client PIN is a unique identifier that
allows a Carer to differentiate one Client from another in cases where more
than one Client uses the same telephone.
For example, a husband and wife are both Clients of the organisation, but on this particular occasion the Carer is only visiting the husband. When clocking in via the IVR, they will be required to enter the husband’s Client PIN, so that the system will know which Client the Carer is visiting.
The Client PIN can also be used where the Client in question has no access to a telephone. Normally, the Carer must call from the Client’s phone for the IVR system to clock them in/out. However, if the Carer uses a different phone (for example, their own mobile) and enters the Client PIN, the system will be able to clock them in/out as normal.
