Below are the three main Payer Types:
a) HSE Generic – The HSE will fund the Service from its normal Carer Funding Budget once the Client qualifies for this funding.
b) HSE Funded Services- This funding is available to Clients who may not qualify for the normal HSE Carer Service, but who might be entitled to some extra funding from the HSE (for example, due to a disability).
c) Private – This means that the Client or the Client’s family will be paying for the Service privately.
As well as having multiple Schedules, Clients can also have multiple Payer Types (e.g. HSE Generic for one Service, and Private for another).
